In the United States The GEM Project works with homeless women to empower them to create the life they desire and to break the cycle of homelessness once and for all. Since the project has started several of the participants have moved out of the shelter into their own homes and continue to volunteer with The GEM Project to give back to the ladies still facing homelessness to be positive examples for them.

The GEM Project in Panama is currently working with Fundación Pro-Integración empowering mothers with children with disabilities. We are also working with a prolife organization, La Casa Por Las Niñas, that provides shelter & proper nutrition for young expecting mothers whom otherwise may have aborted the child. The organization also cares for the newly born babies and assists the Panamanian government in the adoption process.

The GEM Project Kenya is organized and ready to be launched in 2009. The target populations are women coping with domestic violence situations in the home and single mothers living in extreme poverty.

The GEM Project offers various jewelry making classes to the community of the GEM teams to both men & women. Every time a sponsor takes a GEM class, it enables another woman in the community to be trained, along with all the materials she needs.
